Preprint Manager™ Journal Workflow Product Enables Instant Publication of Accepted Manuscripts to the Web

North Andover, MA, USA -- September 15, 2003. Aries Systems Corporation, a leading technology supplier to the scientific publishing community, is pleased to announce the release of Preprint Manager, an online workflow tool enabling faster and more cost-effective dissemination of peer reviewed manuscripts on the Web.

The advent of online peer review systems has increased quality and quantity of manuscripts accepted for publication by scientific journals. Along with competitive market pressure and increased expectations from the author community, this has resulted in a strong imperative to reduce the time-to-publication.

Preprint Manager responds to these needs by enabling journal offices to instantly publish "accepted" manuscripts to the Web using the journal's existing access control methods, while retaining parallelm workflow tracking through to print publication. Preprint Manager also provides functionality that enables access control, content management, PDF branding, DOI designation and secure reprint ordering.
