Overview
The
RadLine literature reference service offers you easy, economical
and rapid access to the biomedical journal literature most frequently
used by radiologists.
The literature references are stored on
CD-ROM optical data discs. Computer search software designed for
Microsoft® WindowsTM and Apple®
Macintosh® lets you search these discs easily and quickly.
Each data disc contains journal article
references, many with abstracts, selected from the National Library
of Medicine's (NLM) MEDLINE® database.
The radiologic topic content of RadLine
was developed in cooperation with the Department of Radiology at
the University of California, San Francisco.

Searching
Software
Finding the references you
want is as easy as just typing the few words that you think best
characterize the article. Knowledge
Finder's unique fuzzy logic
searching uses precise mathematical analysis to judge how closely
each database entry appears to match your search query. Search results
are presented in order of likely relevance, showing you the closest
matches first, and saving you time reviewing search results.
For precise searching, just click a button
to activate Knowledge Finder's Boolean Search mode. With
the additional Boolean operators, nested parenthesization and truncation,
you can fine tune your search to identify the specific article for
which you're looking.
The MeSH® subject heading thesaurus
helps you identify the correct terminology for searching the database.
Article citations (most of which include informative abstracts)
are shown rapidly and clearly on the computer screen. With Knowledge
Finder, you don't have to take the time to become an expert
searcher. In fact, most users discover that they're searching successfully
within a few minutes of their first use of Knowledge Finder.
Flexible
